The Long Coast

When travelling the Pacific Coast Highway, arguably the most impressive sight is that of Big Sur in central California. From any given point, you can see fifty miles of cliffy and rocky coastline. It's most awe-inspiring in the sunshine, but I think it's very dramatic on an overcast day. It gets you in touch with nature even though you're three feet from a highway.
